We'll see you in Oshkosh, EAA AirVenture 2005

Along with several million other flying enthusiasts, we'll be exploring what's new at this year's Experimental Aircraft Association Show, AirVenture 2005, the EAA Fly-In Convention, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. We'll be taking an Airstream camper and parking it during the run of the Show. As anyone else who has been to an EAA Fly-In can tell you, hotel and camping accommodations are hard to find as so many people fly and drive to Oshkosh. So we've assembled these useful links here to help you find accommodations during AirVenture and take you to other useful Web sites that provide housing help for the show.

• The Oshkosh Convention and Visitors Bureau provides additional information on EAA AirVenture housing at 920 235-3007 weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (CST). Private housing referrals begin March 1. The Bureau's services cover hotels and motels, dormitories, public campgrounds and private housing.

Camping

Thousands of EAA members stay in EAA Camp Scholler right on the AirVenture grounds or in the Transient or Showplane camping areas along the flight line. Vehicle and aircraft camping facilities are offered to EAA members only, with the opportunity to join EAA or renew at the time of arrival. Camp Scholler rates are $13.00/day during AirVenture, $7.00 otherwise.

In addition, there are many private campgrounds nearby including Sleepy Hollow Farm. Sleepy Hollow Farm is adjacent to the AirVenture Convention grounds and directly south of the EAA Museum, which is the center of activity during AirVenture. 

Parking

Automobile parking at AirVenture runs $5.00/day for the general public and $3.00/day for members, $7.00 and $5.00 respectively for recreational and other vehicles longer than 20 feet.
